Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo:

Jewel Box: A musical celebration of queer diversity

April 3, 2019

IlluminArts and bulthaup presented Jewel Box: A musical celebration of queer diversity with original artwork by Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo, an evening of storytelling through design, art and music. "Vivid and expressive" (New York Times) baritone Keith Phares and pianist Ting-Ting Wong performed music of composers celebrating the diversity of the queer experience, including Laura Kaminsky, Jake Heggie, Paula Kimper and Benjamin Britten. Original artwork inspired by the musical program and created by Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo highlighted the elegant design of the Bulthaup b Solitaire.
