Presented in partnership with the University of Miami Lowe Art Museum, this program explored the art and music of eighteenth-century Naples. Dr. Jill Deupi, the Lowe's Beaux Arts Director and Chief Curator, introduced audiences to the city's "golden age" through the lens of Giacinto Diano's oil painting, The Martyrdom of Saint Catherine. Her lecture was followed by a performance of period music by acclaimed soprano and early music specialist Clara Rottsolk, accompanied by harpsichordist Noah Sonderlin and trumpeter Lucas Balslov.
