5 Year Anniversary
Mindy Solomon Gallery
November 10, 2018
IlluminArts debuted on the Miami cultural scene on November 10, 2013. In our short history we have collaborated with prominent institutions in the community to tell stories through art and music including the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Bass Museum of Art, Lowe Art Museum, de la Cruz Collection, Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami Center for Architecture and Design and the National YoungArts Foundation. We are grateful for the support of the community, and it has been a joy to present performances of the highest caliber to Miami’s community for the last five years.
The Five Year Anniversary Celebration was presented at the Mindy Solomon Gallery, with the evening’s festivities including cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a special musical performance by Founder and Artistic Director, Amanda Crider, accompanied by the outstanding pianist, Anna Fateeva, who has been featured on numerous IlluminArts performances, including the inaugural performance.
On view at the Mindy Solomon Gallery were two compelling exhibitions: Close the Blinds, featuring the work of artists Hiba Schahbaz, Sophia Narrett, and Danny Ferrell and It only hurts when I bend with works by artist Virginia Leonard.
