This season, IlluminArts hit double digits and turned 10!

 

IlluminArts debuted on the Miami cultural scene in November 2013. Since then, IlluminArts has presented one-of-a-kind, immersive, site specific performances in collaboration with leading museums and galleries around Miami including the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Oolite Arts, Bass Museum, Lowe Art Museum, de la Cruz Collection, ICA Miami and Vizcaya.

 

Each year, we celebrate our anniversary by bringing back artists who have performed in past seasons. This year, our featured artists were IlluminArts founder and past Artistic Director, mezzo soprano Amanda Crider, alongside baritone Keith Phares. Crider was the featured soloist on the very first IlluminArts performance in November 2013, making this a full circle moment for the organization! Collaborative pianist Anna Fateeva accompanied the pair in music by Rodgers & Hammerstein, Strauss, Burleigh, Duparc, Guastavino, and more.

 

The evening's festivities included delicious wine, a tasty hors d'oeuvres menu, and LnS Gallery's stunning art exhibition, Home: A Short History of an Idea by Tim Buwalda.
