The ensemble, called "luminous...perfectly calibrated and adventurous," by the Broad Street Review, will be featured on an upcoming IlluminArts performance premiering the works of six composers from around the world. Learn about the singers of Variant 6 who have performed individually with internationally recognized ensembles including Roomful of Teeth, Bang on a Can, The Crossing, American Composers Orchestra, Seraphic Fire, LA Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra and Opera Philadelphia.

Vocal Ensemble

Variant 6 is a Philadelphia-based 6 voiced vocal ensemble dedicated to virtuosic performances of a cappella music. “Thrillingly in tune” (Broad Street Review) and singing with an “immaculately smooth blend” (Chestnut Hill Local), an integral component of Variant 6’s mission is to commission and advocate for emerging composers. Variant 6's artists have performed with internationally recognized ensembles including Roomful of Teeth, Bang on a Can, The Crossing, American Composers Orchestra, Seraphic Fire, LA Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra and Opera Philadelphia.
