IlluminArts Mentoring Program
IlluminArts is a nonprofit, charitable organization that promotes the arts, and enhances the identity of Stark County and surrounding areas as a vibrant, visionary and arts-oriented region. We believe that bringing artists, arts organizations, and community members together to network is critical to building a united and diverse arts community. Expanding community awareness about the relationships between arts and learning will increase the ways arts are used to educate our youth.
As part of our effort to promote the arts throughout the area, IlluminArts has established a mentoring program. Details of the program are outlined in the IlluminArts Mentoring Program Agreement. This year, ArtsinStark is providing five artists who will be conducting a two hour workshop. Applications, to be considered for a workshop, are included in the student application document.
Here's how the mentoring program works:
If you are interested in a workshop or working with a local artist and showcasing your work, at Celebration 2011 which will take place at Timken High School on Saturday, March 19, 2011, please email Rod Meadows, Architect and IlluminArts Mentor Chairman, at rmeadows@mottermeadows.com no later than December 10, 2010.
